Welcome to
Fiasco Farms, located in the beautiful Finger Lakes region of NYS.

We are a large family with a long and fascinating history. We come from all over the world, from many different countries and traditions, and yet we are all related, all one big family. If you love life, good food, the company of friends, music, and laughter, you too may be a Fiasco. Join us in sharing recipes, stories, gardening tips, poetry, photos, projects and special interests.

Don't bug me ;-)

To get around our site, just click on one of the menu items on the left side of the screen. If you can't use frames, things may not work quite right, but you still should be able to get everywhere.

If you have any suggestions for our web site or would like to see something here, let us know. You can send us an e-mail or use the Information Return Form.

If you're looking for goat information, you're at the wrong farm!
Try Fias Co Farm, they have a great site about goats ;-)

No new news... just some old stuff ;-)

New major announcements on the Kanatsiohareke site!

We just added some Winter Scenes to the photo's page. Not much goes on in the Winter... Except, maybe, rebuilding front porches...? ... Yep, and there's a good story to go along with this project on the site right now! Mama has finally written her first story here and it's a good one too! See the Photos & Stories section and read Mama's account of the Porch Eagle!

We have the current e-mail address listed for the Kanatsiohareke section of our web site. Sorry about that, they changed it while we were setting things up. We also have the direct phone number to their Craft Store listed now also...

Just for fun, we've added some games to our site. See the News page for deatils...
We've added an internet meta-search page to our site that works through Dogpile. A great search engine that will help you find just about anything...

Something completely new, Surveys! Our first survey is a survey-survey... Yes, it's a poll about surveys. Give it a try and tell us what you think!

Finally added more stories to the Photos and Stories page.

We've added a new recipe and made the change of "Page 2" over to the "News & Announcements Page" a bit more official.

No good thing lasts forever. Just when the webrings were working fine for everyone, Yahoo comes in and takes the whole system over... Yahoo doesn't work through my firewall and they just want too much personal information (which they share with anyone!) for me to sign up with them. So the webrings will work until Yahoo makes them no longer work... Enjoy them while they last!
We've just added two "web rings" to the site. The Just Good Food WebRing and the Homesteaders WebRing. They should both be of much interest to the folks that visit here. The links to the rings are at the bottom of this page...

The Kanatsiohareke Summer Festival 2000 was a fantastic event. If you didn't make it there, we have some pictures up in the new Kanatsiohareke section of our web site!...

And, Ganondagan had their annual Music Festival the weekend of July 22-23. This was the 'big' one with many craft vendors, music and stories going all day long plus great food. It was a fantastic event. We spent way too much money and a lot of time talking to old friends, making more new friends than we can remember, listening to the music, eating and generally enjoying ourselves, and even working a bit to help out...

We've finally started the Photos and Stories page. Not about the Fiasco's unfortunately (that's Mama's department and she's been real busy). Since I just got the photos back, we've got a page about the old Ferguson tractor and new plow. But much more will follow...

"Page 2" may turn into a 'News and Updates" type page? I suppose it needs a purpose in life and this makes some kind of sense? So don't forget to check out Page2 every now and then... And maybe we'll even get around to giving it a new name?

We've added the Shopping Guide to the site. This page has links to places to buy seeds, herbs, and everything needed for homesteading and natural country living. If you have any related sites you'd like to see there, let us know!

The latest addition is our Reading List. We've started out with a magazine list and will expand it greatly with our favorite books and more magazines

We just added the Fiasco Message Board. This is the place to exchange messages with other people about cooking, gardening, stories and whatever else!

We have added the Fiasco Recipes page. Papa's pizza is the first to appear with many more to follow!

We've added our first mailing list, Favorite Recipes. For a full explanation, see the Favorite Recipes page.

Send e-mail to Mama or Papa

You used to be able to enter your e-mail address at the bottom of this page (and hit the "Mind-It" [click here] button) to be notified when this page has been updated. But no longer. The NetMind "service", which was a great free service for years has now decided to charge. And I mean charge! $80.00 a month! Forget it! There's free program add-ons that do the same. Their advertisement riddled "service" is certainly not worth the money!

No More NetMind Mind-It!
